Beautiful People--Princess Avarona

And here I am again, presenting the next of my beautiful people. I realized while trying to choose one that the main characters of Valiant Journeys have received no attention. Sadness and woe.

So, without further ado, I present Princess Avarona, the heroine of Valiant Journeys.

2. If your character’s house burned down, and they were left with nothing but the clothes on their back, what would they do? Where would they go?

She would likely be in utter shock for a day or so. But if her family remained intact, she would find a way to pull herself together and move forward. It would be a tragedy for many, however, since the castle in Aginshire houses more than just the royal family. Avarona would be greatly upset, but would still try her best to hide her sorrow and be strong.

2. Are they happy with where they are in life, or would they like to move on?

Relatively so. Throughout the course of Valiant Journeys, she does move on from where she has been, as her role changes and becomes that of a wife and helpmate, in addition to a daughter, friend, sister, and princess. She is, every day, learning that difficult lesson of being contented in every situation.

3. Are they well-paid?

All of her needs are provided for, first by her father, King Jonas, and then by her husband, Damian. She has no need to work or be paid.

4. Can they read?

Very well. Avarona cherishes books and spends a great deal of her spare time reading. In fact, her friendship with Damian first began as a conversation over books in the castle’s library.

5. What languages do they speak?

English. I suppose if she needed to, Avarona could pick up on bits and pieces of other languages, but not quickly or fluently. I have a feeling they would merely confuse her.

6. What is their biggest mistake? 

Letting herself become self-pitying when a situation arises which she cannot control.

7. What did they play with most as a child?

Her best friends in her childhood were Sheridan, a young noblewoman, and Avarona’s brother, Ektor. Avarona and Ektor spent much time playing imaginary games together, often with few props and a great deal of vibrant imaginings—though they could have, of course, had nearly any toy they desired. Ektor still keeps his wooden sword from those days, and Avarona likely still has some memento buried in the clothes-chest in her chamber.

8. What are their thoughts on politics?

If it means protection for the innocent, punishment for the guilty, and Biblical justice, Avarona supports it. She has a strong sense of right and wrong and injustice causes her ire to rise like little else can.

9. What is their expected life time?

Until the Lord sees fit to bring her Home. Likely into her sixties, or, perhaps, even longer.

10. If they were falsely accused of murder, what would they do? How would they react?

She would react in angry denial, then slowly become horrified and terrified if no one believed her. Of course, she would immediately turn to her father, brother, and Damian for protection, and then also to those other men she knows she can trust, such as Sirs Caerleon and Malon.
